I love sunshine and tropical islands. I worked seasonally for many years on farms which gave me the ability to travel far from dark Washington winters. I lived on Maui for a year, WWOOFing on a small organic farm. I went to New Zealand, staying in hostels and at farms through HelpX. I fell in love with the country, got a year long visa, traveled and worked at a brewery in Browns Bay, a suburb of Auckland. I spent many Octobers in California, trimming weed which funded my travels to even warmer and better places. Now I live in a cabin on the river in Skagit Valley, WA and run a garden department.
