Find a way to continue film making about subjects I care about

ABOUT ME

I have travelled a lot, especially in India when i was younger. I am not very fit or mobile, but still able to get around and drive, just cant walk long distances. I have grown up children and grandchildren, some in UK. I have previously worked in HIV/AIDS field for many years and still interested in this area. I only speak English, but have had many home stay students from Japan, Korea, and China stay with me when i had a larger house. Now I have a unit and a cat!

Buddhist leanings, spent a lot of time at Poona at Osho's ashram, in India in the 80's - 90's

Have only hosted twice, but very satisfactory experience

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not a lot of experience yet, but hosted many nationalities without the organised scheme - eg friends from previous travels have come to stay with me in Australia, people from Craigslist and Gumtree. Have hosted many International students from Korea, Japan and China for University of Adelaide in the past.

兴趣

As I am less mobile i read a lot, like good tv, esp UK dramas, use the internet a lot. Have a good circle of friends who i have for dinner, like to cook and enjoy food and wine together. I have a beloved cat who is now l7 and like other animals,regret not being able to have a dog now. I am interested in world affairs and politics, follow world newspapers. I write and have aspirations for the Great Australian Novel! Like going to markets, fairs, festivals etc
in 2015 I completed a 12months full time film making course at MAPS in Adelaide, and have made four films so far. I want to look for grants to be able to continue making films in the future, and get proficient in film editing

Avid reader, most things except sci fi and romance. Belong to about 5 libraries despite having a Kindle, and Ipad to read on.

Had 3 children and adopted another! or other way round really. Then divorced and identify as lesbian. Travelled, spent a lot of time in India including taking 12 yo for a year, and prior to that taking 3 kids for five months. Have travelled through India, Nepal, Pakistan and up the Khyber pass to Afghanistan - before the wards. Had a great experience at Sarah Lawrence College in New York on a writing school for Writing the Medical experience - a gathering of drs. nurses, patients, social workers, therapists to get together and write. Experienced many losses through HIV AIDS of friends and clients in course of my work, and fortunately, now, many successes and return to health thanks to new medications. Film making is my current passion

I am hopeless at foreign languages! really hopeless I mean, so English speakers will be most comfortable, though I am not bad at improvisations and signs. I like to cook, happy to share preparations and eating. Happy to show guests around Adelaide as much as time allows and point them in the right direction for their own explorations.
