My name is Maharlikha. I currently live in Banjarnegara, Central Java, Indonesia.

I am a farmer who grows local crops such as pineapples, jackfruit, bananas, coconuts, and various local vegetables.

Every day, I work in the fields, doing tasks like hoeing, planting, fertilizing with compost, harvesting vegetables and fruits, and cooking with ingredients from my garden.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am running a campaign about local food, food security, zero waste, sustainability, hunger, and equality between local people and foreigners.

I live in a village where child marriage is still common, education levels are low, and farming is not appreciated because it is seen as an unworthy profession.

By hosting foreign guests, I hope to bring a change in the way people in my village see things.
