My name is Mahmoud Darwish, I live in Egypt, I am currently working as a software engineer and doing my master degree in computer science. I love reading, snorkeling, and playing football.

I have a lot of friends from different cultures, different countries, different religions and different races. I believe that what we have in common is much more than our differences and we should respect our differences. I do believe that world would be a great place if we could focus on what unites us rather than what divides.

I'm on Couchsurfing because I am willing to help travelers when they visit my country through providing tips or having dinner together or hosting for males only and maximum for one person. I am also here to find an easy way to connect to new people from different countries who would be able to help me during my stay in their countries.

I like reading and I believe that a reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. I like paulo coelho books, I enjoyed reading most of his books like the alchemist, the winner stands alone, 11 minutes, the warrior of light & veronica decides to die. I like Anton checkhov, I have read most of his short stories, I like his story "ward number 6. I have read for other authors like albert camus [The Stranger], steven covey [7 Habbits], Spencer Johnson [ Who Moved My Cheese ] and others.

my favorite movie is pursuit of happiness, I enjoy watching it. I usually watch it when i feel down or when I feel i want to recharge my energy towards achieving my goals. I like drama and biography movies.

my favorite singer is frank Sinatra, I like most of his songs but my favorite songs are my way, strangers in the night, fly me to the moon and others. I like andrea bocelli. I like louis armstrong when he is singing " what a wonderful world ". I like celine dion and other singers but I feel so attached to old songs especially Sinatra songs.
