Hey there! I’m an absolute embarrassment when it comes to these biographies so here goes nothing:

I’m Mahmoud, my friends call me Moody as a pet name. I’m Egyptian, but I was born and raised in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. I’m currently living and studying in Ghent, Belgium. I’m doing my master’s degree here.

I’m somehow shy and awkward at first, but when you get to know me better you’ll find that I’m obsessed with pop culture, in love with Britney Spears, Japanese video games and silly dark humor. I’m naturally sarcastic, so people usually take time to get used to this.

Even though my experience might be somehow limited, but I love traveling and exploring new cities (sounds like every profile there is). I enjoy studying the detailed architecture of things and I almost never miss a chance to stuff my stomach with food so I’ll pretty much take leisure in experiencing the local cuisine of each city (not into cockroaches or worms though, sorry).

The thought of exploring new cities while staying local grabbed my attention. There are plenty of communities within Couchsurfing but they all share the same goal: helping and providing space for those who are in a tight budget. I also find it amazing that you can get tips and recommendations from the hosts and residents.
