ABOUT ME

I have been told to be quite talkative, so if you like people with a wide range of interests, than we'll probably talk all night ;D. I like self-sufficiency, self-employment, self-baked bread, but not selfishness, (although I like shellfishes! But thats something different I guess ;D), and I like to learn new things. I like outdoor trips, most of all whitewater open canoeing. I make things all the time and I rather repair things before having to throwing them out. Thats probably why I like things that last and age beautifully in the first place ;D
I think people do, and good thoughts.

No, just kidding, but I believe that a better world is just your next smile away! Still, I'm a little bit of a cynic. Thats reality sneaking up on me while I'm awake, sleeping!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am looking to travel and meet people in a mode that I always loved most - being somehow connected to the place from the moment I get there. No one knows things about a place like somebody who lives there! That's what I'd like to share with others as well!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had several, the best staying on my friend Winstons couch in Taipeh and spending a night on a couch in Solheimar during our Iceland trip! I love staying with real people instead of the hotel industry - the interaction between a host and his guest is just the best way to experience a new place.

兴趣

I love the Outdoors - paddling and climbing, enjoying the alps, trips and learning in natural settings is like no other experience. I fish, collect wild berries and grow some veggies, too! But I still spend most of my time in front of the screen shuffling information back and forth. Creative Commons, Collaboration, Open Society, Transparency & great Music too!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Hiking on the newly opened North Coast Trail on Vancouver Island, a coastal rainforest "walk" (rather stumble, slide, hop-over-log-crawl-under-rock - with beach strolls in between) over 5 days, I saw a grey whale feeding right at the waterfront, 5m from the beach. The whole experience was awesome, but that was such a wondefrful greeting, a giant creature I never hoped to see, especially not right from shore!

I can teach you a lot of things - one of my cooking favs, using a sewing machine, digital photography, fly fishing, open canoeing and other outdoor skills - how to build an igloo, for example ;D. This will all take some time, so I'll just be able to give a starter! I can also introduce you to some concepts of personal development, which is what I would probably learn the most from - no creepy stuff though! Also, I'll probably learn the most from who what you want to share, so listening is very important, too!
