Hi! I'm Maia! I'm an American who was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Here, Minnesota has some of the coldest weather in the world and can even be colder than Mars at times! I have an interest for music making and art. Photography, painting, and drawing are some of my passions and I'm always happy to share with you some artwork I have made. I love to dance, and I'm always searching for a dance partner. One of my biggest goals is to become a world traveler and experience all the different cultures the world has to offer. I haven't been able to travel the world much but hopefully I can change that, and make lifelong friends along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined couchsurfing to meet new people, be able to travel, experience, and enjoy the culture. I want to hear the stories and experiences people have had and I want us to share each other's culture! I think meeting new people from around the world is important and help you grow as a person!

I'm a henna artist in the USA. Henna is a form of body art where the artist apply a paste made from the henna plant to the person skin. After the paste is applied on top the person will be left with a design that will last for 1-2 weeks. These are very popular temporary tattoos in the US, and I'm always willing to teach someone the art form. I love to learn about people's culture and hear their stories. I haven't traveled much outside of the United States but I'd like to change that!
