What a difficult section to start with... well, I'm an overt, social little butterfly, I'm tenacious and occasionally stubborn, but my sympathy and love goes a long way. I am originally from former Yugoslavia, and I maintain my slav roots as best I can - having grown up for the most part in the suburbs of Toronto, Canada, and then Montreal. I've been in and out of school for several years, finally deciding to stick around and do my Phd in Climate Science and Business (quite an interesting interdisciplinary field...we can chat about it more in person if it sounds interesting to you!)
I especially love the outdoors, and I am big on exercise and running. It's what keeps my spirits up and my anxiety down.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've traveled all of my life, but never had the guts or the appropriate opportunity to try out couch surfing! So finally now is the time... I'm fascinated by people - their different ways of life, perspectives, experiences, and stories, and I imagine that this is one of the best ways to learn about these things. Moreover I'm excited to meet people who know their local areas well, and could give me some tips on the best ways to get around and see cool stuff!

Music, Movies, and Books

I absolutely LOVE music, practically any genre, and I find the best part is discovering music through others! One of my all time favourite movies is 'Into the Wild', my favourite non-fiction book is The Deep Economy by Bill McKibben, and fiction would have to be Harry Potter... sorry to be so basic!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After a long hot and difficult trail up a mountain with my parents (around 4 hours), on our way down I realized they were running out of water. I was so worried that they would have a stroke in the sun that I literally sprinted down the mountain, drove to the nearest store to buy water, drove back, and ran up the mountain to meet them. Somehow I did it in time to meet them as they were about half way down - and without collapsing myself, haha.
