Hi, we are Víctor and Maider. We have been traveling around the world since 10/2016. It has been a while since we have realized that travelling like standard tourists (i.e. hotels and sightseeing) all the time was not fulfilling us completely, as we were missing a real cultural exchange. Now that we have found Couchsurfing, we hope we find that other way to get to know places and cultures, that is through the eyes of local people :-D.

Before starting our trip and becoming freelancers we worked as business consutants. Víctor in the area of technology and Maider in the area of human resources. Víctor is an industrial engineer in love with computer programming and photography, and Maider is a psychologist with numerical/Excel skills who loves singing and insipiring people.

We both love nature, animals, music, meeting our family and friends and making new ones, cooking everywhere we go, snow/ice/cold, swimming, hiking, flying our dron, sightseeing, photography, training to educate, snuggling, sunsets, computer programming, inspiring people and trying new things! :-D

We travel and work at the same time for an online translation services company to pay for as much of our trip expenses as possible. In addition to that, Víctor is currently studying robotics and AI, and Maider is developing “Spiral of Time”, a self-empowerment skills development platform. This means we share our traveling/experiencing time with time working at home or at the library.

Couchsurfing is a perfect option to keep the budget under control (especially during a long-term trip like ours) and to get to know places and cultures through the eyes of local people :-D.
