About Me

Hello, My name is Maike and I come from the small and wonderful village Niebüll in Nordfriesland / Germany. Here I completed my school leaving certificate in the field of health and nutrition. Afterwards I worked as a volunteer in an emergency room for 6 months. Since that, it has always been an aim for me, to travel and work in other countries. I am currently in West Bengal, India, and I am doing a voluntary service here.

Peace, Love and Harmony:)
with best regards,
Maike

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Coutchsurfing gives me the opportunity to meet many different people in different countries and to travel super cheaply. I am a very open-minded person and my opinion is that one can travel best, when he meets the people on the ground. Nobody gives so good tips and to do things together gives you an enrichment too.
Actually, the world is a small village and we are all neighbors.

Interests

I like to go to GoaMusik festivals and travel to other countries.
Meeting new people and building up relationships is a lot of fun for me. Travel is for me the most beautiful way to continue to form and explore beautiful places.

Music, Movies, and Books

Painting is my favorite occupation and I love Psytrance music as well as all the directions of Goa music. To relax, I like to listen to Reagge And when you meet old friends, the good old songs of the 70s, 80s, 90s are released.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

my voluntary service has given me the best chances to help people in bad living situations and to build an incredible interesting cultural exchange.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have decided to live with nature and fight for the fact that not everything is determined by consumption and corporations. My daily aim is to bring help and laugh to other.  The only things that double, if you share it, is happiness, love and joy.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A glass of wine, nice entertainments, great tips for traveling and family atmosphere.

Countries I’ve Visited

Denmark, France, Hungary, India, Netherlands, Spain
