About Me
Hola! Qué tal? My name is Mailén and I'm 27. A year ago I started travelling the world, and here I am, enjoying the lightness of reality and experiencing many new different lives in one. I graduated as a fashion designer and my intention is to learn from different sustainable projects in order to enrich my work. I'm hoping during this trip I can meet interesting people with the same concern about environment and learn from them different ways to lead a more conscious way of life. I tend to spend most of my time reading, taking long walks, stopping by for some coffee or tea or drawing. Although this doesn’t make me seem as much of a talker, I'm very sociable and open minded, always enjoy shearing a good conversation. Also I'm currently very into photography both digital and film, so planning shootings or going out to hunt some moments seems to me like a great great plan.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that Couchsurfing is a great way to share your life, thoughts, ideas, culture and experiences, hang out with different people, go for walks, talk for hours, and laugh. Make real what's been in your head long before travelling. I want to become a host when I get back from my trip because I understand how valuable help is in the uncertainty you find when you travel on your own. Couchsurfing means great encouragement for those like me who are just talking the first steps into the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm all open-minded when it comes to music because is a way to connect directly with every moment. When it comes to movies I'm a big fan of directors as Gaspar Noe, Pedro Almóvar, Dario Argento, David Lynch, Eric Rohmer, Jean Luc Godard, John Waters, Hayao Miyazaki, among others. When I read is pretty much like with music, I go from old classic books to contemporary authors to keep up with what the world is up to.
