Traveling ...

My name is actually Marlon, I grew up in El Salvador when the civil war was just exploding, left to Mexico at 15 and at 21 settled in Canada. I appreciate so much all the new experiences this country has given me and all the many friendships I established.

I have traveled but not as much as I would have liked, mostly because I was, for the last 20 years, visiting my family in El Salvador, trying to reconnect after 10 years of being absent, I believe I achieved that and now I want to see more of the world and other cultures, meet people

I have, in the last 25 years, discovered a lot about myself and want to travel for sure, share other people's points of view, live their culture, find the common ground we have as humans

Circumstance and environment have determined much of my life, now I am taking control of it

I think that consumerism and greediness is destroying our planet and isolating people more and more. Even if I do not agree with your views, that doesn't mean we cannot talk, something in common always exists and if you are able to focus on that, so am I

I love backpacking in the wild; hope to do the West Coast trail, the Pacific Coast trail (in the next year or two), Machu Pichu and maybe el Camino.

Personally, my plans in the next 3 years, are to go to Viet Nam, Australia and New Zealand, Ireland, Spain, Greece, Italy, France, (Europe) and Japan and Korea. But if I can go, I will visit as many places as I can, the problem for me is that I want to stay longer than I can

I believe, very strongly, in sharing what I have with people that are open to ideas, who love our planet and its people. I enjoy life as much as I can and the people in Couchsurfing seem to be a lot like me

Soon I hope to take advantage of the couches out there.

Reading science fiction, self improvement, Philosophy and other genres has given me so much and, along with life itself, have made me wiser...I hope hahah I love to have conversations about anything but just for exchange, do not want to convert you or be converted. Yoga, Buddhism, hiking, camping, dancing, sky diving, soccer, etc; Thinking of getting into glass blowing, guitar, and who knows what else

Most of all, I love laughing, eating good, delicious foods (even if they are not so healthy some times), having fun and just being as happy as possible
