Run a marathon in all 50 states, seek out new brew pubs, to boldy fish where few have fished before

ABOUT ME

I got married to my best friend in July 2011 and we had our first child together in December 2013. I am a runner and I am using the vehicle of doing a marathon in every state as an excuse to travel the country and, eventually, the world. I am also a homebrewer who visits any brewpub that's on the way. I have also been know to wet a fly in a stream or two. I have also seen much of the world courtesy of the US Army.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am fairly new to couch surfing - but I am looking forward to meeting the community. I stayed on one couch during one of my marathoning adventures in Texas.

Movies - Shawshank Redemption, Blues Brothers.
Music - most any bluegrass. At the moment my favorite groups are Mumford and Sons, Head for the Hills and The Head and the Heart.
Books - The Omnivore's Dilemma, Blink, Learning to Eat Soup with a Knife, Once a Runner. Most histories, biographies or science related books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have run a marathon in Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan.

I have decent experience in bushwhacking to far flung fishing holes and making field expedient shelters.
