About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Honestly, to be ripped like Madonna :P

ABOUT ME

HUm...idk! I love--and I love to love :P...and I love when other people love-it makes me smile :D
I live with my head in the clouds, and most of the time I don't want to come down...
I play soccer with the elementary kids I tutor, I go out dancing with friends, I go "junking" with the older folks and listen to their life stories and advices, I run around with my mom's puppies for as long as I can, I take time to myself by hiking to a secluded area (outside of the concrete jungle).
...and I'm always changing!

PHILOSOPHY

There's this quote spray-painted around town and the campus, something like, "You're living, breathe."
A bumper sticker my friend just got, "One world, One people, One love" which is kind of along the lines of "We're in this together."
Another one is "Live Simply."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am pretty new to couch surfing...I have friends living in an old church in SC, CA where they have hosted a lot of CS's and they recommended it to be because they said the people they meet through CS are awesome!

Music, Movies, and Books

So much out there...so little time...

Right now I am into dub step music. I love all kinds though. Cheesy romantic country songs (like Need you Now), classical (Beethoven, Moonlight Sonata is my favorite), songs that make you want to take yogi breathes, Radiohead is always in my ipod, Pink Floyd and Portishead are in there too, Spanish music, French music, Indian music Moby, 60's-70's protest songs (check out Buffy Sainte Marie, My Country tis thy People), hip-hop, and the list goes on...

Movies and Books are harder. Honestly, almost ever time I watch a movie I fall asleep....but I don't usually fall asleep while reading (unless its reading for a class :P)! I just watched In Bruges, which was amazing...Some short stories I love are The Awakening, The Yellow Wallpaper, The Metamorphosis...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Baby goats! They are the cutest, silliest things ever! My mom's bf's sis has a farm in New Mexico and she just got in a bunch of baby, bottle-fed goats. They will jump all over you, beg to be picked up, eat your hair (or try to), jump sideways up into the air (which never fails to bring me to tears laughing), attempt to but heads with anything (including chickens and the older goats).

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't have any special skills that I know of (perhaps my powers will come in late) but I am quick on picking up skills.
Things I usually do:
I work as a tutor for low achieving elementary kids--anyone trying to improve their reading?
I also love to cook and eat. On a regular basis I usually cook with a group (friends, family, roomies, random people)--anyone down to whip up something? A friend called it 'food improvising.' It's fun and lot's of yum!
Listen. I am usually dishing out my life philosophy to friends and family seeking support and advice. I haven't lived too long but hey, everyones got their own way of looking at things, no matter how old...
hum...i'll try to think of more :P
