About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be happy, connected, and learn about the world. Do what I can to make the world a better place.

ABOUT ME

Important: I can host females only. Nevertheless, I can meet both males and females.
Please contact me if you need any information about the city (what to see, activities, where to eat, what to eat, transportation,...etc.)

I am into history, specially history of cities and their urban development. I know a lot about Alexandria, and a good bit about Cairo as well. I enjoy history, and I do not enjoy visiting historical places without learning about their history and context. I am so much of an outdoor person, so I am not so much into cafes or restaurants (unless they are iconic in the city) unless the weather conditions are extreme. I like long urban walks (specially along rivers and around islands) and hiking in nature when possible.

On the personal level, I try to keep a positive mental stance as much as I can. I work full time in Cairo now but I go to Alexandria at least every other weekend, so it can be possible for me to host in both cities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My family and I had hosted an American friend of friend and it was an enriching experience.

I signed up to couch surfing just before my trip to the United states so that I can meet new people there, and possibly stay over if I travel around. In India, I understood that staying in people's homes can give you a much deeper insight about the culture.

I am aware of the limited number of hostesses in Alexandria and I am now on couch surfing to offer a home for guests, as part of returning some good to the world. I love to give a cultural insight during the time they spend with us and I enjoy sharing the City with others as I see it, when I have time, or at least give some advice if I am not able to host.

I do not travel a lot, but would appreciate finding a hostess when I travel. I would certainly love to meet locals and see their cities through their very own eyes, or meet other travellers for walks or hikes. I began to be more interested about people's stories as I only recently discovered how rich life can be, through its ups and downs.
