About Me

I am an 18 year old girl who just graduated this year. So far I live with my family in Witten (near Dortmund/ in the western part of Germany) but soon I'm going abroad for one year. The first destination will be Taipei (just for two days), than Australia and finally New Zealand :)
After my gap year I am looking forward to start studies in medicine and to become a doctor. This had been a dream since I was a little girl.
I'm someone who really loves being around other people and it definitively does not need much to make me happy, in my opinion, the little things are mostly the best.
I'm always open and interested to try and lern new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Now, after I graduated, I want to see the world! And I am so lucky that my boyfriend decided to come with me :)) We have aready been to some other countries mostly in hotels or on camping grounds. But we were always interested in learning something about the culture and meeting the people, wherefore these places are definitively not the first choice. It better would be to stay with locals and exactly this oppertunity couchsurfing is providing. We can get in contact with new people in places we have never been before and we hope to make some great experiences. I beieve that a host knows more about the best places in a city than any tourist guide and perhaps he/she will show us some nice places no guidebook knows about.

Interests

In the past I did a lot of sports e.g. karate, volleyball, soccer and horseback riding. My goal was never to be the best in everything but to do different things with different teams and people and most important to have fun while practicing. Today horseback riding is the only thing I'm still doing in a club because while graduading the time was a bit to short to stick with everything.
This summer I started to like hiking when I was in Austria with my boyfriend, the views at some places were really breathtaking.
But besides the sport, I really love going out with my friends! Going to bars, the cinema or in clubs is always fun, but mostly I enjoy chilling at a lake or having a picknick even more.

Music, Movies, and Books

First of all, I really love listening to music, but not only one specific kind. I love international bands like Sunrise Avenue and Billy Talent. But I enjoy german groups, which are not often so well-know, as well.
Going to the cinema is another hobby of mine, even if the movie itself isn't the most important thing about it, but rather the atmosphere and the people I'm going with. If someone would ask about my favorite genre, I probably would say action and comedy :)
I have already read a lot of books in my life. The best is still the Harry Potter serie!! J.K.Rowling really knew how to creat a stirring, deep story and sympathic characters.
