About Me

Hi, my name is Maja and I’m 21 years old. I live in beautiful Engers at Rhine.
I really like to get to know new people but also to meet my friends. During my leisure time I’m a member of a dancing chorus for carnival and I take care of a group of kids once a week.
Apart from that you can often find me on concerts or festivals.
One of my favorite passions is certainly travelling, so I have already seen many wonderful places all over the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Like I have already said, I like to get to know new and interesting people and I want to come closer to new countries and places far away from tourism. A country and it ́s cultural life is very important for me and in my opinion couchsurfing is the best way to join in.

Interests

I want to visit many many more new places all over the world and I’m looking forward to experience di erent cultures and lifestyles.
Apart from travelling, I love music, especially in live performances. That’s why I attend many concerts and festivals. Little german bands are my favorites.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music can be very multifaceted, that ́s why I cannot even tell which song or which band is my favorite. I really like the german band “Kraftklub”. They play music you need dance to and the live performances are awesome.
Ed Sheeran is my favorite international performer, listening to his music I can forget everything around me and relax.
The movie I like the most or better the movie I can still watch after 1000 times is “Finding Nemo”. By now I’m very excited of the continuation “Finding Dori”.
One of m favorite books is “The Fault in Our Stars” because it has been the first book I really joined in feelings with the characters. Of course I had to cry many times.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Having a bath with a beautiful elephant in Thailand has been the nicest feeling I ever had. I was on a road trip on a little isle by scooter with my parents when we noticed the possibility of swimming with an elephant. It was a really incredible sense of delight, I will never forget.Elephants are wonderful animals.

Teach, Learn, Share

At the moment I train as a banker, which I will probably finish in January. Furthermore I would like to improve my English skills and I’m hopeful that travelling is going to help me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

The beautiful Rhine flows next to my front door. You can experience a nice boat trip to Koblenz and visit “Deutsches Eck”, where Moselle and Rhine converge.
Koblenz has a very great old town with many little idyllic stores.
Additionally you have the opportunity to explore a diversity of pedestrian walkways and gorgeous vineyards at the Rhine Valley.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Chile, Greece, Indonesia, Italy, Netherlands, Russian Federation, Spain, Thailand
