I’m a neurobiology + environmental psych pre-med 4th year college student at Cornell originally from Seattle but I’ll be working in NYC this summer. I’m Ghanaian on my dads side and Filipina on my moms side so culture is very important to me. I’ll try most things twice (just in case the first time was a fluke). I love learning about the world - still very nostalgic about my time abroad and even though I have thousands of pictures and videos nothing is quite like the experience of being in those places with the people you love. I’m very new to this but I started because a friend told me it was a great way to get to know people and the local area better! I’m trying to be more spontaneous and not take life so seriously.

I really like learning about human behavior. I also have a psych-based design minor so I do a lot of photoshop and computer-based architectural design. I started modeling a little and was in aerie by American Eagle’s recent campaign. I’ve been playing violin for almost 19 years but I’m too worried to travel with it - if you have one I’d love to play you a song or teach you. I also play piano and write music. I’ve been doing musical theatre for about 12 years. I lived in Hong Kong for the best 5 months of my life (so far). From my time abroad I learned that it’s really the people that make places worth going so I’d love to get to know you and any local traditions and cultures. I’m an Aquarius sun/moon/venus + Capricorn rising, a Slytherin, and chaotic good alignment lol

I love frank ocean, arctic monkeys, Lana del Rey, 60s rock esp Jimi Hendrix, 90s rap, and more. My favorite book series is Harry Potter but I also love a wrinkle in time, the book thief, and gone girl. I don’t watch that many movies but my favorite would have to be Stardust. I love binging tv shows and my faves are Skins (the british version), Shameless (the American version haha sorry), The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and Greys of course.

I have a lot of funny stories from my time abroad. I can teach you English and French. If you have any orchestral stringed instruments ( violin, cello, etc.) I can play you some songs or teach you. I also play piano and sing so I’d love to sing with you. My friends love my cooking and I make really good Filipino dishes.
