Hi! My name is Majken and I’m 19 years old. I’m from Sweden and planning a trip trough Europe with my boyfriend (same age as me) this June. We both graduated from high school last summer and are looking to travel and gather new experiences. Common interests are languages, literature and art. Our main goal with our journey through Europe is to meet and get to know new people from different cultures.

Whenever I get any downtime from my daily life I like to invest time in reading, writing and gardening. It gives me a sense of inner peace and fulfillment.

I am also a person who’s eager to try new things and new experiences. This is true for anything from wanting to explore ancient forests to my own mind through meditation. To me, it’s always crucial to stay open-minded and try new things.

My boyfriend Istabrak is really into calisthenics, psychology, philosophy, meditation, wildlife, art, literature and music. He is a curious person and is always eager to learn more. Sometimes he jokes around and says “The only thing I know is that I know nothing. Okay haha he is not that corny, but you get the message. Since he doesn’t have a couchsurfing profile, I’ve posted some pictures of him here.

Life has so much to give, the least we can do is show appreciation for nature and it’s wonders through writing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was on a road trip with my best friends we had nowhere to sleep so we spend the night in our sleeping bags on a landscape of rocks we found. We did not sleep very well, but waking up to the sun rise far away from civilization with nothing but the sound of waves beneath us was breathtaking.
