Keep the vibrations up! personal expression through the arts.
I am an "over 50" couch surfer. I have 5 children, all grown, and one grandson. I love traveling and getting connected to the people and stories in each place. Prefer to travel with someone who knows the terrain and hidden stories. Looking for more experiences, broader horizons, beautiful places and people who want to make the world a happy place. .
I accept what the Urantia Book tells us about the cosmos. For me, the Baha'i Faith, the Huna practice of ho'o'pono-pono and the Abraham-Hicks teachings all jive. I also work with the Perelandra material..
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to read the profiles of people in far off places where I have never been. Many of the CSers feel like "my tribe" and I feel connection across the globe. I plan to include cousch surfing in my travels to enlarge my understanding and increase my joy. I trust in the power of one to one connections. It is how the world operates, how we become our true selves, and how the world changes. I'll be recruiting others to join.
I surfed with 3 wise women in 2010. On my first cross country trip from east to west coasts, I stayed in hotels. It was a long, lonely-- though beautiful-- trip. On the return trip, I stayed with CS members and the difference was huge. As I drove I had so much to reflect about from our conversations. I was encouraged to perhaps travel the world via CSing, even though I am nearly 60. Through CS I have expanded my understanding of world peace via one by one heart to heart, as I have through Women of Wisdom in Seattle, Gather the Women on the US west coast, and in Grandmothers' Circle and Peer Spirit Circles. I like to leave a place better than I found it, if possible, and for all parties to be responsible for their own happiness. I enjoy and trust the process of deep listening. The 3 women I stayed with have awesome confidence. Quite a wonderful thing for a former suburban housewife!
My interests include deep listening, singing, arting, writing, poetry, teaching, being an uplifter, consciousness raising, "What the Bleep", Abraham-Hicks, enjoyment of life, following my bliss--when I can discern it! I love movies that uplift without being sappy or maudlin. I love being in sacred space where spirits are nourished. I am a Urantia Book reader.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was present the moment my grandson entered the world. I had never understood the seemingly excessive feelings of grandparenting until then. It was so visceral and physical. Like a dike breaking open. I wondered for weeks what was the physiology of such a thing, and the best I could come up with was that all the loving I had ever flowed toward all my children was at that moment activated and focused onto one receptive person without any resistance to its flow. You have to redefine yourself after something like that.
Teach, Learn, Share
In 2009 I "happened" to visit Mt Shasta City in CA. I went to walk a labyrinth in a peace garden there. I experienced a sensation that I had only felt briefly before---I was in a natural high of bliss--with electric tingles erupting all over my body. It lasted off and on for hours. It felt as though I had come home to a place on a planet that had never felt like home before. I wondered if that is why some people can stay in one place all their lives--maybe they feel like that. It has added a couple of dimensions to my traveling outlook. I am becoming more aware of the need for the older humans on the planet to accept the mantle of mentorship--and all the responsibility for wisdom that entails--even as we appreciate how fast the new ones are vibrating (David Hawkins work)
