Hi, I am Maki from Japan, freelance graphic designer/illustrator currently based in Berlin.🇩🇪
I used to study graphic design at Lahti Institute of Design in Finland for one year in 2013-2014 and encountered lots of great people and values as well as realized how such small and closed country I am from.
I worked at Japanese design company for four years until last year then decided to change my whole environment to place myself to next experiences.
Now I'm here in Berlin, just started my life here. Since I'm interested in visiting lots of countries, I'm so motivated to go everywhere I'm curious to meet lots nice people:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I realized there are so many people here in the world who are so amazing and fascinating me all the time. The only thing I need to find an opportunity to meet such great people is my trying to be social, being open and meeting lots of people including the ones who have not totally been related before. So I do couchsurfing.
I swear you will have such great time with me if you are open-minded with nice smile and like to eat Japanese food which I can definitely offer you while I'm staying at your place:))

Actually I easily get interested in many things, I'm up for doing anything, especially if it's something I've never done. I do know new experience bring me new perspective and rise me up as a person as well as designer.

I definitely want to share the design situation of our each countries.
Even if you're not design related, I can tell you what I got knowing from my four year experiences at Japanese design company:)
I can also cook lots of Japanese foods as well as Thai food which is my favorite and I'm so good at cooking Thai curry as long as I can find certain ingredients:))
