I currently live in San Miguel De Allende, Mexico where I have been working on illustration projects. I am a visual artist, a philosopher, a amateur psychotherapist ;) for Many folk. I love meeting new people and learning about their lives. I am a collector of stories...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to connect with new people. when i'm traveling, i look forward to an authentic experience with locals. i have very little interest in being a 'tourist.' i want to be immersed in local community and culture...and Food. Primarily, i enjoy sharing food ;)...

Interests

I love to cook, sing, paint, and spend time with those i love. I'm complex, eccentric and very nurturing. I'm always up for random adventures. Laughing is a top priority. I find that laughter is as important as eating... or getting dressed for cold weather... or... ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

i enjoy nearly every genre of music, depending on my mood. i am enjoying the book "women who run with the wolves" right now, but i am an avid reader and have many 'favorite' books. i enjoy historical novels, non-fiction, etc. i think that my favorite movie, recently, was "safety not guaranteed." I rarely have "favorites," but i loved that film.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled to Cuba while it was still illegal for me to do so, because I wanted to understand Why my country experienced them as a threat... while there, I met the most incredible people I've ever met in my life. they are survivors. they are passionate, artistic, survivors... and, I have a lot of respect for them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook with and for people that i am staying with. i also enjoy sharing my art with hosts. for this trip, i have brought prints of a few of my paintings so that i can leave a little something for them to remember me by. i also enjoy sharing stories. i can listen for Hours about nearly anything you'd like to talk about.
