Overview
About Me
I love every sport, anything outdoors, all things art related (museums, shows, theater, the whole sha-bang!), and all stimulating, interesting, intellectual conversations! I'm getting my PhD is sociology and love thinking about the world, its problems, and how to find solutions - especially when other people are thinking with me! Cooking is also pretty fun - recently been on a science-of-cooking, "let's make weird stuff!" binge.
I.e., I like most things and whatever it is, if I don't already like it, I'm down to learn to like it!:D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting cool, amazing, interesting people and expanding my perpetually too-small bubble!
Music, Movies, and Books
I like most kinds of music (though still have some qualms about noise music) and am really into Kweku Collins right now.
I can do most movies but prefer non-comedy, serious, make-you-think films. Its not a movie, but since my parents have a free trial of HBO right now, I watched Big Little Lies - which was amazing! - and am watching The Leftovers - which is also amazing!
I LOVE books, of all kinds! I recently read The Goldfinch, by Donna Tartt and it blew my mind!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
ummm, I have a cool scar from going skinny dipping in Alaska? Any amazing story requires more explanation than I'm prepared to write in this little box though.
Teach, Learn, Share
German, French, Spanish, all things sociology, cooking, pretty much everything else.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I speak German and am learning French. My Spanish is in a perpetual state of decomposition.
Cooking - I can make normal things, but also weird, interesting things!
I know a lot about sociology:D
