I’m new here! Not sure quite sure what to include but I will continue to edit as I learn more.

I am somewhat of a home body :-)

I enjoy one on one connections but also a trio is nice because the conversation feels balanced.

I spend most of my time working but I recently got laid off so I’m looking to go an adventure this fall!

I like bike rides, long walks by the water, drinking espressos, going to libraries and sitting in parks.

If we meet, I love to laugh and I have a strong and loud laugh (you have been warned!) If you like to tell jokes then I’ll be your best audience.

When I was younger my mom was a homestay mother! she hosted international students from the Caribbeans, Korea, Japan, China, Brazil, Mexico and Columbia. It was so fun having all these people from different places living with us and learning about their cultures and showing them around Montreal!

When I travel, I like to learn how the locals live! Tourist attractions are cool but I rather admire the people and the scenery. I am hoping that couch surfing can put me in touch with like minded people across the world 🌞

- I studied communications in university
- I love going swimming at 6am
- I love to cook and try new recipes
- both my parents are Jamaican and I go back a lot
- my favourite colour is pink
- I work in VFX as a coordinator
- I’m very introvert but a lot of people think I’m extroverted because I love to talk! But I regain my energy by spending time with myself :-)
- I love playing music and have taught myself how to play the piano
- I am into astrology (but I’m not an expert!)
- I love to read fictional books
- I love documentaries but I feel like I don’t watch enough

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m traveling to Europe this fall to open my eyes!!! I very much need a new change of scenery and to immerse myself in new connections with like minded people.

I will say that couch surfing is not my only travelling option. I love a mix of hostels, hotels/airbnb and Couchsurfing. If you’re not able to host me then it’s no stress!! I am a big advocate of BALANCE! Too much of one thing never does me well.

Other than that, I love the idea that it’s not limited to just hosting. I’m excited to connect with other travellers in my city once I get back to montreal 🥰.

BEYONCE!!!! But honestly so much, sometimes I will listen to smashing pumpkins, pierce the veil, paramore and other times I will listen to Mac Demarco, Yves tumor, king krule. I also love rap and hip hop, so lil Kim, doja cat, Alicia keys etc!

American honey, little miss sunshine, the last black man in San Francisco, howls moving castle, before sunrise

The alchemist, ACOTAR, normal people, lullabies for little criminals, my year of rest and relaxation

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you some tricks in video editing and Adobe Premiere, and I speak a decent amount of French if you want to practice together. Oddly enough, I also love spreadsheets and making budgets, so if you’ve ever wanted to get your finances organized I’m your person. I may be a little sheltered, but that just makes me extra excited to meet people with different stories and perspectives. Some of my favorite life lessons have come from simple conversations, and I’d love to share that kind of exchange with you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’d be happy to share good conversation, stories, and laughter. I love cooking quite elaborate and complicated meals and would gladly prepare something for us. I also enjoy creativity, whether that is filming, editing, or just exchanging ideas, so I’d be glad to share that side too. Above all, I bring respect, warmth, and curiosity, and I’d love to contribute positively to your space while we share a bit of life together.
