I am a positive, travel-loving girl who loves to meet new people! The last year has been spent for the most part in Canada, on exchange, but also in the States for travelling. My favourite thing to do is probably to read books in the sun on a beach, or just to walk by the water listening to a podcast or some good music. Sports are also a great interest of mine, especially those practiced outdoors and even better are the winter sports.

I just got back from spending around six weeks in France. I am studying French this whole semester, but for the remaining part I'll be in Uppsala.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Accommodation is usually the most expensive part about travelling and I thought Couchsurfing would be a good way of combining meeting new people with cheap accommodation. I'd rather spend my money on new experiences and I also think that by staying with French speaking people I will be able to practice my French more than for instance in a hostel.

I am also willing to contribute with cooking skills or help around the house. I especially enjoy cooking and it's fun when meeting other food cultures and learning new recipes!

In Uppsala it would be fun to meet up or host someone whenever I have the time, it's always fun to meet new people!

Music, Movies, and Books

Although I love music, movies and books I am usually never a good DJ whenever I'm in charge of the music and I never really watch new movies unless it's with someone, usually it is just re-runs of good series on Netflix. I love going to the cinema though! I do read a lot of crime novels, and when it comes to Swedish authors I do know what's new in that genre. Music-wise I definitely enjoy Spotify's top 50 and other than that I'd say my taste is pretty much all over the place. My favourite series are How I Met Your Mother, The OC, The Big Bang Theory, Grey's Anatomy, Friends etc. Currently watching Orange is the New Black since I actually worked in a prison over the summer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once heli-skied with my mom in the North of Sweden, that was amazing and something I would love to do again!
