About Me

I will have graduated in May of 2017 with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science. I have lived in Reno my whole life and have had the intention for long term travels for many years. I'm very interested in the dynamics of community centered around environmental awareness with an emphasis on food production. I love working with plants and am keen on working with animals too so if you live near community garden projects I would love to learn and help!

Some other things I really enjoy: visual arts, dance, hiking, climbing, cooking, anything that revolves around expression and nature exploration!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've kept this resource in the back of my head as a great way to really involve myself in the local communities, which in my opinion, makes for a more enriched experience of traveling. I love meeting new people, and those that are willing to open up there homes and share with strangers would seem to be the caring and openhearted people that I always look forward to sharing space with!

Music, Movies, and Books

Wow, this is hard. Gonna have to come back to this later! (:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Something that I've done that has enriched my life was a job I worked the summer of 2016 at a greenhouse project which included a Community Supported Agriculture program along with learning opportunities for the Boys and Girls Club. Connecting with the food system on such a deep level has embedded this sense of Awe in me that I plan to maintain throughout life .

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach about gardening practices and life in the West Coast of the US (at least my way of life in litto 'ol Reno). Learn about the culture and community dynamics in where ever I am staying. Share good company, a love for cooking, gardening, dancing and crafting!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my love of cooking (paired with cleaning) and well... my perspective, my story, my hopes and dreams... I look forward to sharing a connection with all my hosts that will be lasting and impactful for both/ all parties involved!
