About Me

Hello weary traveler!
Most people who know me would describe me as sweet, joyful, quite. Though my closest friends know me a bit better. I am a loyal friend, I am laidback, and I can be silly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I LOVE people of all shapes and sizes.
Each person is like a book (if you knew me you'd know how much I love to read).
It's so easy to get caught up in our lives/ jobs/ families... then we rarely take the time to meet someone new, and even more so take the time to get past the first chapter of their story. (bear with me and my metaphor ;)
It intrigues me the different ways people think and believe, but in order to discover these things we have to get past the first chapter...
this is part of the reason I love to travel so much... In order to really understand a new place, you have to understand the people who live there.
Couch surfing has the potential to create this type of atmosphere.
Not only are travelers visiting the sites, they are visiting the people, the locals. Therefore getting to interact with the destination in a unique and authintic way.

And I also am a fan that it doesnt break my bank. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I volunteer taught 2nd- 3rd graders in Cambodia for a summer... It was the best summer of my life and I want to eventually teach overseas full time.

I was on a traveling Basketball team in Thailand, there we played the National Thai team and their Pro Team along with many of their Universities. I also played four years of college basketball.

I love adventure and trying new things.. In Cambodia I tried a many different "interesting" foods such as: duck embryo, tracula, ants, dog

Adventurous activities? Yes please!
I've been skiing since I was 5
Boating every weekend during summers
4 wheeling the mountains in Colorado
One thing on my bucket list is for sure sky diving!
