I'm an easy going, kind, optimistic, giving, and a helpful person. I have an MA in school counseling and I truly do enjoy helping people. I love meeting new people and enjoying life day by day. I'm also a big foodie and love trying out new restaurants/dishes.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a pretty easy-going person who tries not to take things too seriously. I try to find anything to make me laugh (it's the best medicine). I try to have fun and enjoy life every moment of the day. I love meeting new people and making new friends. I love spending time with good, positive, and caring people. A sense of humor doesn't hurt either. =)
I always try to live in the NOW and look at the glass half full!

I'm all over the place with music and movies:
Dance, some hip-hop, adult contemporary, rock, and some pop.
It's a Beautiful Life, Step Brothers, Pet Detective, Pay if Forward, Shawshank Redemption, The Usual Suspects.....
I'm easily entertained and love almost all movies, especially documentaries. I do hate extremely violent and horror flicks though.

Some books: The Kite Runner, Emotional Intelligence, Home is Where the Heart Is....can't think of anymore off the top of my head. I read when I travel; it's hard for me to sit still and read at home.
Oh, and NPR!

I've got a decent eye for photography, I've been playing basketball since I was 10 years old, I have a great listening ear and/or can give good advice. I'm a pretty good problem solver!...I just have to remember that some people just want to vent and may not want to solve their problems just yet. ;)
