My name is Malo, I'm French but I spent a lot of time living abroad in Canada, Jordan and UAE.

I love skiing, running, and sports in general. I was even a ski instructor on the icy slopes of Quebec. I like being out in the sun and I’m always curious to learn new things. I am someone that really likes being in the middle of nature. It is where I feel good and that’s what I miss the most living in a city like Paris. I also really like to sleep outside with just my sleeping bag and a tarp under the stars.

I draw: keeping a small sketchbook with me and drawing what’s happening around me. I draw people on the bus, people at the park, the facade of the shop in front of my apartment, or the sea and the mountains when I can. Right now, I’m trying to add more color to my sketches with watercolour and pastels.

I speak French and English fluently, and I can speak Arabic fluently but I have very basic skills in reading or writing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am the kind of guy to talk to random people in the street and to become friends. So maybe I can also do that on couhsurfing!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite film is Mulan the disney movie because the drawings are just too beautiful and the story is very cool. I like to listen to soul and funk while driving but I'm very open to anything that can make me dance (all the way to house and techno babyyy!). I'm the kind of guy to find a way onto the stage to dance with the musicians at concerts :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitchhiked across Canada during the summer of 2022. I took my bag-pack and a big sign and decided to cross Canada from Montreal to Vancouver in the least time possible. I did some filming along the way and drew a lot. When I reached the West, I worked in a cattle ranch for 2 months in a valley lost in the British Columbia mountains. It was one of the best experience in my life!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to cut hair! I have no professional training but I have cut my friends hair for 5 years now and I'm starting to get pretty good at it. I also do funky hair dyes with drawing on shaved heads!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have lived quite a lot of weird experiences in the 21 years I was on this earth so I have a lot of stories to tell. I currently study History so if you are a nerd (like I can be) we can have very long conversations on the past and the future!

I am also very adaptable and hands-on so if you need help with anything where I can learn something. I am motivated to help out!

I'm also very good at cooking and make a sick roast chicken!
