ABOUT ME

I am a mover, in the sense that I like to dance and play, and also to shift between my many interests and hobbies ranging from knitting to tango dancing. These interests take me to new places and bring me in contact with a lot of different people. I love to cook, and bring people together to share meals. I don't really like spending time with computers but marvel at their practical potential. Movement is also my field of work, which is why I love it, - be it with patients in a hospital or with performing artists.

PHILOSOPHY

I notice that I feel best when I'm in the now with whatever I'm doing, so that's where I try to stay!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I prefer to participate by sharing moments in different contexts, depending on where I meet people. In the kitchen cooking, in the capoeira roda or on a hike through the forest. Because of the many different things I like to do I sometimes stay most of the day out of the house, and sometimes the opposite.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted mostly so far, which has been exclusively positive. Had my first surfing experience in a family house in Montréal the summer of 2010, and loved it! Since then I've travelled more and surfed in Uruguay and Argentina, and had great times. CS is the best way to travel I think, being a participant more than a visitor. Looking forward to my next chance to surf!

Interests

Oh, so many... at the moment these are at the top of my head: singing, swimming, tango dancing, capoeira, cooking and/or eating lovely food, my family, travel, learn spanish, portugese and arabic, knit, spin yarn, sew, study movement and behaviour, many types of music, be in the sun, watch True Blood (I'm a true geek), ride horses, climb trees, people of all ages,...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once came across a lynx in the forest, - a short and distanced but stunning aquaintance!
