I'm a gap year student who just finished up an 8 month volunteering program in Zimbabwe. For a few hundred dollars more I could make my flight from Sydney to Zimbabwe an around the world flight, so now I'm hoping to see a bit of the world as well!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I figure that the best part of any city is the people that make it up so I'm really hoping to meet locals in the places I'm visiting on the way back home!

Interests

I enjoy sports like football, ultimate frisbee, basketball, volleyball and table tennis.

I love playing the piano, viola and ukulele

I like getting outdoors and doing thing like geocaching and hiking. I'm no expert but I also enjoy canoeing, white water rafting and rock climbing :P

I enjoy challenging myself and pushing myself out of my comfort zone.

I also like cooking (though again, I'm not particularly gifted in that department either)

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of different music and basically if a song sounds good to me I'll keep listening :) At the moment I'm really enjoying the music of Mumford and Sons.

A few of my favourite movies are Inception, The Lord of the Rings, the Dark Knight and the Shawshank Redemption.

TV Shows I enjoy include Seinfeld, Parks and Rec, Community, Arrested Development.

Some of my favourite books are the The Hobbit, the Chronicles of Narnia, the Inheritance cycle, The Reason for God, Things Fall Apart and the Bible

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked and canoed for 20 days from the highest mountain in Australia to the coast!

I can teach you what I know about music and playing the piano, violin, viola or ukulele.

I'd love to learn more German, because I learned it at high school but have never really got to use it properly.
