I still don't know how to change some parts of my profile, but I no longer live in Sichuan!

After three incredible years in China, I am currently doing my masters in Bayreuth, Germany. Life is full of adventure and I believe this year has shown all of us how quickly things can change. I've only ever participated in Couchsurfing as a host in China, and now that I'm here I'd like to explore the surrounding areas of my university town (by bicycle if possible) and meet the wonderful souls who accept me into their homes. Looking forward to a good conversation with all of you ;=)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I've always heard of Couchsurfing, and always told myself I'll eventually find my way to this site. As a traveler I'm looking for different style of travel, a not too crazy place to rest and a few tips on what's good to see/eat. If you like playing music and enjoy jamming, then I'm down for that as well.

As a host, I'm hoping to meet some cool travelers with stories to tell, also doesn't mind the part of town where most people will not speak English and many menus do not come with pictures. Also hoping to meet people who wanna jam, I have a tenor saxophone, acoustic guitar and an electric piano at home. If you're open musically, I'm sure we can figure something out.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Spent three weeks hitchhiking around the Big Island of Hawaii with two other volunteers (we volunteered at a Hara Krishna ashram/farm ), epic hikes and big bands of traveling hippies was among the highlights of that trip.

I am sharing the spare room and couch in my apartment which is located in a fairly central area of Chengdu.

I'm a huge fan of cooking, music, learning languages, sharing stories (political ideas if you're not too sensitive on the topic, OK if you are) and ping pong.

I'm always happy to hear how to cook new dishes and will gladly show you how to make dishes no fun my own. I'd love to sharpen my Italian skills, but really any language (or form of communication) has my interest.

I also have musical instruments and a Chinese calligraphy set that I'd be more than happy to share!
