Interests

I love the natural world, and enjoy learning about it. The desert, the Great Lakes, the flora and fauna that surround us. Interested in nutrition, whole foods, organic gardening, niche farming, goats & other small livestock, canning, etc. Mother Earth News type of topics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm a simple person! I remember the night our old willow tree was covered with lightening bugs, and the branches were wearing drapes of flickering fireflies. Amazing!

Another "show-stopper" observation was at Shiawassee National Preserve in Michigan, when the migrating Monarch butterflies had stopped and covered a tree like foilage. Leaves of butterfly wings.... breathtaking.
