About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Life should be music, adventures, and friends!

ABOUT ME

Your average Jane looking for adventure. I love music and Jesus and traveling.... I'm quirky and fun to be around, and usually find that I command the center of attention--mostly cause I'm loquacious.

PHILOSOPHY

While I am a Christian, I try not to get hung up on all the theological mumbo-jumbo... I'm what you could call a "hippie Christian"... I love life, people, and God; and I live my life that way. I don't judge (for the most part hehe), I have fun, and I live my life the way I think God would want me to (with an occasional slip up here and there.... Thank God for grace).

Now that I got the religion stuff out of the way... I LOVE music! So if you hang with me you will get lots of random singing... Oh, and probably some weird jokes and nerdy references.

Interests

Listen to and play/sing music, reading, hiking, watching Star Trek (or some other equally nerdy show/movie), writing, being with me family and best friend(s), learning, and believe it or not I like going to church.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite genre is folk!! Mumford & Sons, fleet foxes, the good mad, john Mark McMillan, James Vincent McMorrow, Bon Iver, Gungor, Ed Sheehan, tallest man on earth...
Though I also like other genres that include artists like--Matt Corby (!!!!!), Coldplay, Tony Anderson, Yo-Yo Ma, Norah jones, Regina Spektor, birdy, the Beatles, the beach boys, Debussy.... And the list goes on and on!

In the realm of literature I like a lot... But mostly the genres of fantasy, fiction, distopian, some historical, and I can't lie I like a good teen novel now and again.
My favorite book is Slaughter-house Five by Kirt Vonnegut

I am also a big fan of the silver screen... I like the typical nerdy movies and shows including but not limited to Star Wars, Star Trek, LOTR, Game of Thrones, Sherlock, HP, anything Disney, the hunger games, etc etc etc...
I also like normal stuff like Kingdom of Heaven and the Gladiator.
And I am a chick and therefore I like a good classic chick flick (it's in my nature).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently went on a trip to Thailand and Myanmar (Burma). It was amazing!! I did things like sing and play ukulele, teach Thai teacher how to teach English, I ate the most delicious ice cream ever!!!, and I got to meet new people and see two amazingly beautiful countries.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach you about music... Unless you're already really good at that, which leads to my next point...
Learn: I would love to know more about music, languages, cultures, literature, astronomy, and pretty much anything!
Share: the wonderfullness that is ME.
