Hello everyone! My name is Amanda and I am from California but currently living on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii. I am a middle school teacher in Hawaii, and so far it has been a great experience motivating young students to be their best, while learning the local Hawaiian culture. In addition to teaching I'm currently completing a master in education at Johns Hopkins University. I am a very easy going person, who is up for an adventure anytime of the day. I started traveling about 6 years ago and I have learned and grown so much from it.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I really enjoy meeting new people especially from different cultures, to learn and gain diverse perspectives on life and couch surfing provides this for me. I have absolutely loved all my couch surfing experiences, from staying with and hosting couch surfers, to attending couch surfing events, all have really made my life much more unique and meaningful!

-Food, I love food, Mexican food is my favorite! and italian comes in second
-Dancing, love going out to dance, and I am in the process of learning salsa/ bachata

-Movies: fact-based films and comedies catch my interest.
-Music: I love any type of music, but my favorite artists are Coldplay and Drake

Algo increíble que he hecho

Sharks are my fear, but not to long ago I went diving with sharks. It was not as bad as I thought, it was actually so fun that I didn't want to leave.
