About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My journey had started long before I left and would end long before I returned. -Steinbeck

ABOUT ME

I am a kind, warm, open-minded, life enthusiast. Lets take a walk and talk while being in someone elses shoes. Then give our shoes away and feel the grass on our feet all day.

PHILOSOPHY

If my life was a child's toy, mine would be playdough. "You must do the thing you cannot do." -Elanor Roosevelt
"I wanted things to all make sense, so we could all be happy yes instead of tense, so I made up lies so they all fit nice and made this sad world a paradise." -Kurt Vonnegut
"A true life lived begins with tiny changes."- Tolstoy
"The light in the eye grown dim shall duly flame again."- Walt Whitmen

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The people involved in this site are amazing. I am so warmed by the connection that all of us immediatly feel. It is neat when people are open to it.

Interests

I am interested in really juicy mangos, scarves longer than my body, the way my dog smells after a bath, a good social buzz when you feel like a true conversationalist, making eye contact and meaning it, house slippers after being in the snow, hunting for really unknown trails to hike, people watching at the airport while listening to good tunes, throwing a penny in a fountain and meaning it, people who have guitars but don't play them, local music and the people who support them every time, waiting on a waitress, the freedom of spring, free art museums, really good finds at thrift stores, conspiracy theories, culture shock, taking time to learn from the people in my life (my friends know some shit), singing really girlie songs in the shower, watching cartoons I used to watch when I was little (some really messed up stuff), being the little spoon, cleaning when I am pissed, when I "lose" my phone on "accident", people who say what they mean but aren't the types who are proud to be assholes, seeing people I haven't seen in ages and actually being in the mood to see them, dancing quite terribly but loving free motion, the way my heart pounds when I am about to stick up for myself, when other people blush and they know my curse (I am forever honest even when I don't want to be), meeting someone new who has really interesting stories, people who skip BS how are you conversations, music days where you sit and share new music, my inner comedian, feeling childish and not caring, bands with instruments and new dynamics besides the usual (drum, 1st guitar, 2nd guitar, bass, singer), hairy guys who aren't afraid to be hairy, Dylan all day every day, a good Listerine burn, people impressed by my big feet instead of freaked out, people who are open to trying things out of their element, being out of my element, writers who can write about things other than sadness, the relief after having to wait forever to pee, getting two of something in a vending machine, when you get both eye liners perfect, people who are open to silly, really late night conversations with just one person, people who are hypocrites and know it (don't worry I know it), going outside and not having to scrape off the car, chipping away at nail polish, confusing a dream with a memory, waking up with a song I haven't heard in a while in my head ( take a walk on the wild side, all the colored girls go doo do doo, ), house parties that aren't lame, religious people who aren't pushy but just content, falling asleep while reading, baskets on bikes, laughing at guys who try to impress with cars, pretending to be really tough and the people who know the difference, people who say dig it, knowing the answer first but letting someone else have a turn, being drawn on, making lists and sticking to them, getting butterflies etc etc...

Teach, Learn, Share

I am good at opening people up. I enjoy free conciousness poetry. Maybe we could write together. I also like to sing and could collaborate musically. I could teach you to make a tea cup out of string, a magic trick with a quarter, and to whistle with your middle fingers.
