I am a work in progress - sort of perpetually re-inventing/discovering who I am or might be. I have worked to the exclusion of all else (and though I truly love my work) am in the midst of reclaiming the fun.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am often on the move - have gotten the chance to meet up with a few other CS'ers for coffee/food and a chat. Crashed with a friend in Seattle who has since joined CS as well - tons of fun and he said it was interesting to do some of those 'touristy' things in his home city!

Interests

Continually learning about...well, most things. Beyond working like mad much of the time I revel in snowboarding (still learning), a good book and a fire, words and word games, meeting/associating with people of pleasant mind and devious intellect.
Currently questing to improve my kitchen skills.

Books - I love them!
A few authors I have quite enjoyed:
Douglas Adams, Ayn Rand, Terry Pratchett, Haruki Murakami

Music-wise, I can, and have, listened to almost anything. Of late, Sondheim, Blackthorn, Cake, Orff, Dvorak, Brubeck...some of this, some of that...

Movies - American History X (very good, very disturbing), Pan's Labyrinth, The Princess Bride...I am willing to dabble in just about anything, and am interested in what others find worth watching.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Abseiled 300m into a mammoth sinkhole then spent 6-8 hours with a guide and 5 others hiking our way back up (through caves of glow worms and some wicked river fun!)
