I'm getting to know new people and new cultures
I'm open-minded, forthright and have a great sense of humour. I love to laugh and i tease others a lot. That might scare some people but i'm basically harmless. I also like to argue sensibly. I speak seven languages hindi, bengali, english, french, german and a bit of polish and norwegian. Recently, I also dabbled in Romanian.
I'm very keen to know about other cultures and people. I'm agnostic and i beleive in harmony brought about by all religious faiths in the world.
All human beings are unique so accept them as they are and don't judge them otherwise they might judge you and not accept you as you are.
I recently realised that change is not a negative thing at all and it challenges me to surpass myself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm a new member so i'm still discovering.
I couchsurfed recently in Krakow,Poland on my way back from Tarnow in southern Poland and my hosts Kasia and Wojtek were simply amazing. Their hospitality can only earn praises and i got to know some inside stories of Poland.I also couchsurfed in Copenhagen with Monica Hald and Casper Nielsen. It was amazing because both of them showed me areas of Copenhagen which are not easily accessible to tourists. However, my last experience in Groningen was exceptional. I spent a week-end with Miranda Klok and the Rudolph Wierda. Rudolph introduced me to a nice group of people playing board games on sunday evenings. I enjoyed playing those games and even won some of them.
I can play the piano and i sing. I sang in the Choeur de l'orchestre National des Pays de la Loire in Nantes and had a stint as a student of voice at the Nantes regional conservatory in France. Now, I sing with two choirs at my institut, HEP Vaud. The choeur HEP and the ensemble HEPtaèdre. I also love reading and travelling.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love mostly classical music ( european and indian)and also classical literature. But i'm also interested in modern and contemporary music. Anything with a good melody is good for me. As for books, as long as the storyline is good, it's ok.
As for movies, i love romantic comedies, war movies ( but more strategic and espionage than mindless physical violence
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelling through Germany using the mitfahrgelegenheit. One meets so many different people with different accents and who speak different dialects.
Teach, Learn, Share
Cross cultural experiences are enriching but like all human experiences can have ups and downs. You might get into a misunderstanding against your will. The solution is to apologise as soon as possible so that the friendship gets back on track again.
