Hey there, I would love to host you in my house (or in a small private house if you are a couple) with garden, swimming-pool etc. near the sea, but with the pandemia and my age (actually 78) it won't do, sorry. As soon as it is OK I will return to you, my friends. I am a quiet artist, love animals (6 dogs, 10 cats, chickens, ducks... No fleas (for the moment...) There are beds for around 5 people + camping possibilities ( RVs, trailers and tents) out of reach of the dogs, but near the ducks. I welcome creatives, dreamers, musicians, cooks, dancers, funny ideas, wheelchair travelers etc. etc.
Ah, and for your information: the Couchsurfing program did not accept my real age, you'll have to add a few years to the announced 54!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I grew up with classic music, and prefer harmony to noisy stuff, but love old jazz (modern too), the Brazilian "roots" music which goes from samba to frevo and forró with a touch of lambadá... Movies? It has been so long since I last had a movie evening, let's see: I loved Avatar, Rain Man, Elephant man, La belle Verte, Le Festin de Babette, Ingmar Bergman's filmography (my island does not have a cinema). Books: I have a special laughing love for Gerry Durrell (Lawrence's little brother, the funniest animal writer ever), the black humor of Roald Dahl, all Fantasy books with a twist for Stephen King, J.K. Rowling, Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Philip Pullmann and Sci-Fi. And some of my favorite books are dictionaries, encyclopedies etc because I love to discover new words and things.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Ten years ago I bought this rather withered place with 2 old decrepit houses and am making a lovely property of it, renovating, constructing, creating a future welcoming place for families with wheelchair kids who need a cheap and nice place to spend their holidays, with a lot of animals around, nature, sea and sun. Next to the swimming pool I am building a fish-and-plants pond which is my latest creation (jan. 2018). When I am finished with this I think I will sell it and start something new, because if I love a perfect job, I do NOT like finished things, they are like beautiful dead flowers. So if anyone thinks of buying, I'll sell my paradise and make another one!

I draw, paint, create with PET bottles, make luminaries. Have to learn everything about the actuality in computers and media (dummie: I even don't know how to put a photo online). A rather big walled area with a separate house (3 beds, 3 outside hammocks) ; kitchen. We can also share my house (1 couple, 2 separate beds, some inflatable mattrasses), and covered hammock space at the pool house.
The nearly waveless sea is 200m far (wade in a small stream at low tide, no access at high tide), with animation and local music on week-ends on the next beach (Punta de Areia). The town is Portuguese colonial style, half asleep in the sun. Lovely Salvador and its festivities can be reached by small "lanchas" during the day and the ferryboat at all times.
