Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard some really good stuff about Couchsurfing from friends. I feel it's full of humanity and kindness. I like to host when I can, and enjoy visiting other places with real people and not only with a guide book.

Interests

I love reading, arts, going to the theatre and movies. I also like to cook, party, doing sport such as Karate (but only white belt for the moment, so don't be afraid, ^^) ski, swimming, sailing... I grew up in the Alps, and I'm keen of nature as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music : I love it, I'm just really bad at retaining names. I like any kinds of music, with a preference for the one I can dance on !

My favorite movies are those which move me or puzzle me or teach me something about human people such as Gone with the Wind, Pocahontas, Dr Jivago, Titanic or Mulholland Drive.

Books: I recently discovered Patrick Modiano and Laurent Mauvignier but I don't have a lot of time to read aside from the books I read for my studies... and a lot of the authors are already dead ^^ Some of my favourites are Madame Bovary (Flaubert) and Les Mémoires d'une jeune fille rangées (Simone de Beauvoir's autobiography.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got lost in London's suburbs on my first day out in this city and manage to get home after 5 different buses and two trains...

I can teach French.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my cooking and baking skills, as I know how to do some good French stuff, and help around the house/garden. I'm also really good with kids (I work as a camp organiser during summer and my brother has 18 months old twins)
