About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Love, learn and live.
ABOUT ME
Me me me... Well, let's see.
I am mostly a urban girl. I like city life during the week and outdoor activities during the weekend. I try to be as environmentally aware as I can. I like to take care of things (cats, plants, red worm composting, people). I love smelling old books, peeking in people's appartment when I walk on the street, spending hours in a bookstore, watching a movie snuggled up in a blanket, stargazing and having conversations with people that are close to their emotions and aware of the people surrounding them. I always try to listen to my intuition.
PHILOSOPHY
Don't wait for things to happen; make them happen. Every moment is unique, so live it intensely.
Take responsibility for your actions and decisions.
Be grateful for what you are and what you have.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I was asked to be part of the French translating team. When I finish the PhD, I hope to have a little more time to give. I'd like to help improve the website.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had a couple of CS experiences by now. All in all, I met lovely and interesting people. I love the concept and can't wait to host or surf again.
Interests
I am addicted to Ultimate Frisbee. I play year-round with different teams in Montreal.
Reading. I am a book worm! Though I always dream of having more time to read... more. (Besides books for my research, I don't read much else...)
Watching movies. I love going to the cinema. It's always a treat. I also like watching my favorite movies over and over again.
Visiting people's appartment to find out how they live, be inspired by their decorating tricks, see how they personalized their living space (it can tell you a lot about someone)
Drinking café au lait, tchai latte and tea.
Tasting (wine, interesting beer, food).
Playing any kind of game with questions (Trivial Pursuit, Cranium, McWiz2000). I'd like to play Questions pour un champion (I've heard of it but never played).

I also like different kind of essays (Anna Moï, Amin Maalouf, George Steiner...)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
An unpredicted sunset walk along the Portuguese coast (Cabo da Roca) after a fairly long cab ride. I was with a fellow traveller and we decided to take a cab to see the Atlantic ocean. The cab driver was driving fast so we could get there by sunset. We hadn't even thought about it. It was SO worth it!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my passion for books. I love trading interesting titles and fascinating books.
I always love to discover new tasty and original recipes.
If anyone is up for an arts and crafts session (knitting [very recently... so I am far from being an expert], drawing, scrapbooking, oil painting, card making, point de croix...), I can teach you.
