ABOUT ME

Born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. It's a beautiful city, such a wonderful atmosphere. However, i wanted some new surroundings/experiences and left to study Ecology at University of Gotland. I lived in Visby for 3 years and still miss it, made so many friends and fell in love with the landscape.

Now I work at a preschool in Stockholm, it's a fun job. I probably learn more from the kids than they do from me, ha!

I'm vegan and love to cook food. Also a total chili-head.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, i'm trying to find people to connect with through here. Not only couches to stay on but also people who know about places and are interested in just showing me around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My dad is very active within the community. He's currently in Prague. I've met a few of his Couchsurfing contacts. Haven't hosted or stayed anywhere yet but looking forward to it.

I'm an avid photographer, not "professional" yet though. I enjoy photography as a process; thinking about light, composition and then pressing the shutter. It's a wonderful thing when you can make a still image come to life and breathe, putting the observer into that place or moment.

I like plants, lichens & algae. Trekking a forest or shoreline and indexing the flora. There's something striking about the way everything is interconnected in a huge (or small) network. The system of nature is beautiful.

I'm a huge fan of Wong Kar Wai, love all his films. I also enjoy anything with space ships. Most recently watched Prometheus, Moonrise Kingdom and This Must Be the Place. Awesome films all three.

Some of my favorite bands/artists are Future Sound of London, The Sight Below, The Field, Grouper, Grimes, Oneohtrix Point Never, Com Truise, Mars Volta, Wooden Shjips.

I'm currently reading all of the Culture series by Iain M. Banks. Totally engrossing books. Other favorites are the Mars trilogy by Kim Stanley Robinson, Neuromancer and the rest of the Sprawl trilogy by Gibson, anything scifi really.
