🙋‍♂️🏳️‍🌈This is Manu. Creative geek, very open-hearted human, transparent , honest and (as I have been told) a bridge in many people's lives. I always listen first, then meditate and sometimes express my point of view. I enjoy sarcasm (with humor). Creativity is my way of life.

Details of my world: Bicycle lover, tea enthusiast, street art archivist (@streetartuy), cactus best friend, and admirer of all things Art Déco. 🧘‍♂️🪡 🧵 I also do yoga and embroidery (self-care, anyone?).

Being a rural migrant myself, I have recently become interested in different topics related: queer lives in the countryside, LGBT community projects and government policies, and life stories in reference to these issues. 📝 I’m writing about that.

Although I was not born in Montevideo, I know it quite a lot because of my work and my curiosity. I can show you this city! Going out to a nice place to drink a coffee or taste something good, walking and sharing all I know about murals and street art, visiting museums, picnic and see sunset at our “rambla” (esplanade), discovering some independent artist, and attending alternative cultural activities. Be aware: I do not drink mate (sorry not sorry 😂)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I guess there is no better way to know the city than meeting local people, trust in them, spend extended time together! I’m open-minded and want to know different ways of life!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did the Juan de Fuca Trail with a group of Canadians and Uruguayans. 3 days and many stories.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Spanish, I’m so patient. Also I can explain de different types of saying“ta” in my country, ta? 😅
If you are into crafts, I can teach how to embroider (🤓 🪡 ) or If you’re visiting my city (Montevideo) I’d love to do a walking tour through street art and nice ☕️ cafés.

Good company, interesting talks! Im not good cooking but I do delicious breakfast with French toast, omelette or whatever you like!
