About Me

I am very open to things i never done before and I love to be pushed out of my cofort zone. Also I love to be very spontaneous. On the other hand I would describe myself as calming and grounded person that can connect to most of the people I meet. On a trip this combination leads to a lot of fullfilling but also a lot of chaotic or sometimes even stressfull situations.

I love to eat and for my own pleasure i enjoy cooking as much as eating. While preparing a meal together i like to seperate the roles in cooking and cutting (otherwise it can often become too chaotic for me).

One of the most relaxing things to me is taking a long walk till I get into a meditative state, just putting one foot in front of the other. It also happend that hours passed by in this state but (for my own luck) I always found my way back. My orientation is very pronounced (but i cant orientate to the point of the compass). Thats why i love to walk most of the parts in new cities or areas to understand how they are organised. On a walk i also try to follow to rule to not take the same way back I came.

Another hobby of mine is watching movies (but i cant tell you a favourite movie or genre there is just to much good stuff). I honestly cant tell you the last time watching one by myself it is more a group activity to me. I love to be drawn into the spell of a movie and I can get very emotoinal through that. Besides standart Hollywood movies (by that I mean those stupid action movies stuffed with unrealistic brutality, cgi and absolutly no plot, for example Fast and Furious) I would give (literally) every movie a try.

I enjoy all kind of games (group and card games the most i guess) and i also love all kind of sports (climbing and basketball the most).

At the weekends, at a party, all the time in my room, sometimes on the streets (when i feel kind of unseen) while cooking and in a lot of other situations I might just start dancing. To quote a friend of mine: " You did not really feel a song if you havent truly danced to it." Maybe he quoted someone else, I never asked him that. Once i got asked if I could describe myself a "good dancer" but as long as someone just feels the music and expresses that on his own way it is "good" dancing to me (it just feels weird to rate dancing).

At the end of the last movie from the "Lord of the Rings" that I rewatched to show it a good friend of mine she compared me to Samweis Gamdschie. So I can decide for myself if she wanted to tell me to shave my feet again or if I take it as the most wonderful compliment I have ever received.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lets start with Music. I change Genres time by time to not get bored or overhear something. Actually I can listen to (almost) everything. To everyone who doesnt knows the App "Radiooooo", you missed something but you still have time to catch up. Just to list a few artists I enjoy: Dire Straits, Max Richter, Edgar Wasser, Lyca, Mobb Deep, Fugees, Fatoni, Pixies, System of a Down, Tame Impala, The Sugar Hill Gang, Seeed.

Depending on, well i can't say exactly i don't know myself what it is, but sometimes i devour books and sometimes i hang on to one for a bit longer. But I am always reading and have 1000000 book recommendations so there is no end in sight. Science fiction and Fantasy are my favorite genres. To everybody who is also into those two I can recommend "The name of the Wind" and "Dune".

I cant name a favourite Movie or even Genre. I adore the complete art of film, from the actor to the make up artist or director. Also just to List a few directors or actors I can recommend: Park Chan-wook, Martin Scorsese, Jim Jarmusch, Quentin Tarantino, Joaquin Phoenix, Leonardo Di Caprio, Samuel L. Jackson, Christoph Waltz, Song Kang-ho, Tom Hanks, Johnny Depp, Ewan McGregor.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was at the start of the second semester when the Corona Pandemic started. After two semesters just sitting in front of my laptop every fucking day repeating the same rythm over and over and over and over again. I felt like a needed a time out. To my happiness a new person moved to the one other shared apartment (one of the only persons I had contact to during the pandemic) in my little village. He just stayed for the winter to earn some money for his project. The project was a self sustainable farm in Portugal. When he decided to go back to his property I offered him my help and we did a deal. I was able to live with him for free in exchange for my labor and him not beeing completly alone. The crazy part of the whole experience is that we just have known each other for a couple of weeks and we had a perfect time at his property starting his farm. After this time out i continued my studies with new energy and also the hope to have some classes in person.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am open to all sorts of activities. I love to go on a walk and experience new cities or the nature. Meeting your friends and going out would also be a great experience. I always love to have a talk about whatever topic comes to our mind and to share each other experiences. On the side i really enjoy cooking and love to try new recepies. If you are not into any of that things you can of course make a suggestion.
