About Me
Hey,
my name is Manuel and I am doing an internship in Montpellier at the moment.
I’m 19 years old (just finished high school), speak German, English, and a bit of French – though six years of school didn’t turn me into a native speaker (yet :D). I’m tidy, open-minded, and respectful when it comes to shared living. I’ve already lived with six people in very tight quarters on a sailing vessel for six months – so yes, I’ve mastered the art of sharing space, snacks, and silence when needed 🕺🏻
In my free time, I enjoy cycling, discovering new places, and attempting to cook – with occasional success and only minor casualties. I’m really looking forward to meeting new people and sharing a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing mainly for two reasons. First, the money – I am not that well situated to be able to pay for hotels. But even more importantly, the people – during my exchange year I learned how amazing it is to dive into a new culture, and I think Couchsurfing is a great way to do that :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite Song: One of my favorite songs is Surf Eat Sleep by Al-Berto & the Fried Bikinis (@friedbikinis). It’s relaxed, fun, and always puts me in a good mood – perfect for a sunny day.
Book: I really enjoyed "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. I’m also a big fan of Sherlock Holmes – I love the clever mysteries and how every little detail can matter. Last but not least, "Le Petit Prince" is a must-read :D
Movie: My favorite movie is probably Dune. I love the epic atmosphere and in combination with the sound-design it is just amazing.
