ABOUT ME

I'm a literature and linguistic student from Leuven(Belgium). I love languages and I hope to be a teacher someday.

Furthermore I do a lot of volunteer work: I teach Dutch to foreign people and guide underprivileged children. I also went to India to help the local community and teach English literature at the college.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went to Sweden in 2011, which was really great. I travelled with a friend of mine and we started at Göthenburg and ended our trip at Stockholm.

I also travelled alone to Berlin once. I had some friendly hosts there and enjoyed a great time in Berlin.

Books..To many to list, but at the moment I try to read a lot of German literature to improve my language skills. At the moment I am reading "Lenz-Schweigeminute". Perhaps my favorite author so far is Herman Hesse (der Stepenwolf, Demian, Narziss und Goldmund, ...).

Algo increíble que he hecho

I went to India for a month and there I had the opportunity to teach English literature ...and plant rice seeds in a rice field. :) The experience was really great, because I saw how people outside of western Europe could be happy in their own simple but rich way..Perhaps even happier than we are in Europe.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I try to experience/enjoy different cultures and learn from them.

A nice example: I enjoy oooking and I try to experimentate with different spices/dishes... I also enjoy listening to people explaining a new dish or the way they use spices...
