It's difficult to choose a movie, but I'v got a big crush for "little miss sunshine" and those of my childhood like "the goonies" and "indiana jones"! The last movie I saw and got a crush too is the "25th hour"
It's easier for the book: "a train name russia" by klioutchareva, "the selected work of t.s.spivet" by reif larsen, and most of the book write by amelie nothomb.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

diving with leopard sharks, walk with lions (well they had 6 month, but it still impressive!), be awake by a deer ( stay sleeping, it's better for you!!), see the sunset at angkor watt, get issues with some indians (the start of a looooong and absurd conversation or negotiation), play bowling with a biker american, and after he shake your hand,told you" welcome in america" (class),meet a boy of 19years who is the remember of is country and can told you the story of every monument and building from sarajevo...
