Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music, from Ethiopian jazz to Sufi music to pop. Amanda Palmer, Django Reinhardt and Thomas Fersen are some of my favorite artists.

I enjoy watching comedies (not romcom!), film noir, musicals and drama. I love most of what the Cohen brothers directed.

My favorite writers are Haruki Murakami and Laurens van der Post.

Walked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back up in one night.

I enjoy sharing my stories from the road and hearing about my hosts' life and culture. I can give advice about travelling alone, writing, visiting Romania and other countries I've been to. I also enjoy playing the ukulele for my hosts.
