ABOUT US

I (Uta) am much more longer member of CS than Pierre-Henry, but since we live together we share also this human adventure together.

Pierre-Henry is the most stable part of us (but always curious and openminded). He works as an engineer in Aubenas. As he stayed in the region where he grew up and as he loves outdoor sports, he knows very well the surroundings … and also the Alpes, one of his favorite places to go for Mountain Climbing and Skiing.

We have 3 children each (1995, 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2x 2007), but they already left or they are leaving one after the other the nest.

I (Uta) was born in the former German Democratic Republic (East Germany) and I live since 2002 in France. I traveled a lot before I got my 2 sons and I started travelling again when they become older.
I worked in various professions (assistant of a dentist, dresser in the opera, bar-maid, owner of a shop for clothes for motorcyclists, owner of website for selling Montessori Materials, Montessori trainer, teacher for German in a French Middle School, caregiver in a children’s club, couples therapist ... I am owner of an agency for event services and specialiced on hydrogen & Fuel cells. Since 2024 we are owner of a mountain lodge in the Diois (South of the Vercors).
I danse since 2009 Tango Argentino and together with my partner we love dancing Salsa and Rock.

We are doing a lot of outdoor activities together.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I am also member of SERVAS (since 1998) we are used to host people. If we have time, we show you around or go with you to the traditional market.
We are also member of Warmshowers (for cyclists) and BeWelcome.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Yes, we surfed and we hosted !
First commun CS adventure was during our bicycle trip with the children around the Lake of Constance (2018 ?), where Thomas hosted us (6 !!! people) in his music school.
