ABOUT ME

I am just getting my profile back in order... My old roommate "COUCHVIKING" joined CS when we were living together in Downtown Los Angeles in 2008. We hosted our first surfer and we were hooked. We jumped in with both feet, and in about 30 days we hosted 17 surfers, with 2 different groups staying with us multiple times during their vacations. I will fill in my profile more as I get more free moments.

PHILOSOPHY

Humbly be of service to my fellow man. I enjoy spreading joy and sharing positivity. The only thing you can control is your attitude. I believe for me, and I hope that for you: that you have not had your best day yet...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted over 20 surfers from, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, England, France, Oregon, USA. The girls from Sweden we hosted stopped back in 3 times during their U.S. trip. They started as 2 girls, then return as a group of 4, then the final stop back in became a party of 5. That's my experience with CS, many of the surfers who stayed with us made time at the end of there trip to squeeze in a few more days with us. I have not yet surfed on anyone's couch, but I have build great relationships and can't wait to visit my CS friend's homes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Insanely, beautiful! Every person who has surfed my couch has broadened my view of the world, and has had a lasting shining impact on my life. It is a joy to share my city, and watch visitor's smiles as I unveil secret local hidden jewels, that they would never find in a guide book. CS is a beautiful organization.

Adventure, travel, learning, sharing, trying new things. I really enjoy sharing new experiences for me, in other people's cultures and turning people on to new experiences in my culture.

The Princess Bride is my favorite movie. I am an avid reader. Most recently I read Shantaram and The Master Key System.

I wake up every day excited, to find out what the next great adventure life is going to throw my way. I have jumped out of planes and traveled to tons of exciting places, with wonderful people, so it all is amazing and will continue to be a beautiful life.

I try to use the Couch Surfing experience to share my intimate knowledge of my local area to provide a unique experience to all my visitors. I want all those who surf on my couch to visit parts of Southern California the they would never be able to find in any guide book or thru any travel web site. I, in return get the privilege of sharing in the joy of the reaction to a new beautiful experience on the face of my new found friend.
